Free Advertising Websites Equals Sales - Or Does It?

!±8± Free Advertising Websites Equals Sales - Or Does It?

You are a newbie and you have just created your first product. You are happy with your product so you build a website around that product. Now all you need is traffic to your website. Low on cash you decide to start with free advertising sites in hopes to generate a few sales so you can then pay for better placement ads later. But what you may end up with is something you do not want.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of good free advertising sites on the internet but think about who are using them. Other people just like you are trying to sell their products and that means you are trying to sell to a network of sellers. Most free online advertising sites place your email in with the ad and then other sellers see your ad and then take your email address and start spamming you to look at their products. They will even email you pretending to like your product and ask you to join their forum or payed ad offer to their costumers for a flat rate. Or even worse your email address gets picked up by scammers telling you won some contest you never entered or someone left you an inheritance from a person you never heard of. Sound familiar?

You have to understand that when people want to buy something they would never go to a free internet advertising site to find it. They would look for it on search engines or popular sites like ebay, Craig's list, Amazon, or even pay-per click ads next to the search engines websites. You need to make sure that your product is in a place of buyers and not sellers. So here are some free advertising ideas that can help you get started.

One good way to get free advertising for your website is to take a look at your product and see if it solves a problem for someone or answers a question that someone has been asking. Join a blog or forum that is taking about it and then let the members know that you have a product that can help. Don't just sign up and then post an ad up or they will consider you a spammer. You can also optimize your website to solve a particular problem by using keyword tracking tools like wordtracker to see what questions are being asked the most. Chances are that by doing this your site will show up on the search engine results better with less competition giving you free traffic from buyers eager to have their problem solved.

Another good way to find buyers is to find niches that use your type of product. If you sell an ab machine, for example, then look at all the places that would buy your products. Don't just focus on the usual places like gyms, and fitness equipment places to sell your product. Think about maybe women who just had a baby and want to get that flat stomach back, retired seniors who want to stay in shape or models who want to look their best. Think who can really benefit from your product and do a search on that niche then tell them how your product can help.

In conclusion, free advertising sites is a good place to practice writing your ads and maybe get a link back to your site but don't count on it bringing you lots or sells. Spend more time researching where the buyers are and finding out how your product can help them.
